The Japanese Space Exploration Mission was an initiative created by the remnants of the Japanese government after the destruction of Earth to incentivize exploring the cosmos. Citizens aboard the Japanese mothership would watch livestreams of the missions and give suggestions to the explorers as to where they should go next. This ended in disaster when the planet Ganseki was discovered; mistaking the gas giant for a habitable planet, the crowd began shouting "Ganseki," the Japanese word for rock. Under immense metaphorical pressure, the Japanese explorers flew into the clouds and were almost immediately crushed by the immense literal pressure.
